Recently VMware published a series of interesting video’s on VMware vSphere with Operations Management (vSOM). vSOM is a suite which consist of the vSphere suite (standard, enterprise or enteprise+) and vCenter Operations Manager standard. vCenter Operations Manager (vCops) Standard includes the vSphere dashboards for health monitoring & performance analysis, capacity management & optimization and operations dashboards & root cause analysis. The getting started series cover the installation of ESXi, the installation of the vCenter Server Appliance (VCSA), configure networking and configure features like vMotion, DRS and HA. Part 25, 26 and 27 of the videos discuss vCenter Operations Manager.
