With VMworld 2019 happening right now in San Francisco, a lot of news & announcements are broadcasted straight from the Moscone Center. To give you an overview of the most important news I’ve created a VMworld 2019 Link-O-Rama. Project Pacific – Project Pacific is VMware’s initiative to deeply integrate and embed Kubernetes into vSphere. It’s strongly linked to VMware Tanzu, a portfolio of products and services that transform how the enterprise builds software on Kubernetes. vRealize Updates – vRealize is VMware’s Cloud Management Platform, and is now available as both an on-premises platform as well as a SaaS-based platform: vRealize Automation Cloud (formerly known as Cloud Automation Services ) and vRealize Operations Cloud. At VMworld vRealize Automation 8.0 was announced! vRealize Automation 8.0 is based on a brand new architecture, that is also used in the on-line Cloud Automation Services/vRealize Automation Cloud platform. VMware Cloud Foundation – VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) is VMware’s foundation for the private and public cloud. VCF includes the software defined infrastructure based and vSphere, vSAN and NSX; but also includes a cloud management layer based on vRealize solutions. Kudos for you Eric! I like the word link-o-rama, it covers the contents of the article. I see other websites are also creating link-o-ramas so I actually thought it’s a more common thing…but to be honest, I knew the term from your website :).
