Join David Caron and myself on Thursday December 16th at the virtual Dutch VMware Usergroup Usercon to learn more about application modernization with VMware Tanzu in our session “From idea to production with Tanzu“. This session will presented in Dutch.
In 40 minutes we will explore the Tanzu portfolio through a great interactive demo! We will start with some source code (the idea) and bring it to production so it’s ready to use. We’re going to use Tanzu to deploy the application & dependent services and observe the metrics for that application and supporting infrastructure. We will also have a closer look at the Kubernetes cluster hosting the application.
In this session you will learn how Concours will execute your CI/CD pipeline: get the source code, compile & test the code and build a service image that will be stored in Harbor. After the image is build, it will be deployed to a Tanzu Kubernetes Grid cluster and the app plus underlying infrastructure will be added Tanzu Observability (fka Wavefront).
Other topics we will touch on during our sessions are:
- Automated container creation with Cloud Native Buildpacks;
- Improve container security through Harbor;
- Build a service catalog using Kubeapps and Tanzu Application Catalog;
- Centralized cluster management with Tanzu Mission Control and Tanzu Service Mesh.
