On October 2nd PQR (my employer) will bring you the IT Galaxy 2012. IT Galaxy presents the latest trends on advanced IT infrastructures. The IT Galaxy 2012 is the 4th edition of this annual event.
The title for this years’ IT Galaxy is “Where IT Comes together”. Virtualization, smart phone usage, the influence of social media and the increased usage of cloud computing are bringing a shift in the way we’re using IT. We’re moving towards a more user centric world in which IT “only” supports and facilitates. IT is delivered as a service and is inseparable from everyday life.
The IT Galaxy will bring you keynotes, parallel sessions and workshops dealing with subjects like Bring your Own, Consumerization of IT, Follow me Data, Virtualization and Cloud Computing. The online agenda is available through this link.
This year I will also present at the IT Galaxy 2012! The titel for my session is “Unleash the IaaS Cloud – Infrastructure Management & The Dynamic Datacenter“.
In this session I will discuss how to build a Dynamic Datacenter using VMware solutions like vSphere, vCloud Director and vCenter Operations Manager. I will also present the 4th, brand new PQR Solutions Schema called “Infrastructure Management Solutions”. This schema will explain how operational, capacity, configuration and performance management solutions are related to eachother and which role they play in the datacenter. The schema will discuss these solutions from a conceptual perspective.
PQR already published three other Solutions Schemas which are very interesting and a must-read for every IT pro. The solutions schemas (all available in English) are:
My colleagues Ruben Spruijt and Herco van Brug really put some great effort to complete the fourth schema which can now be presented for the first time at IT Galaxy.
The IT Galaxy is targeted on end users, IT administrators and CIO’s. Are you responsible for IT in your organization? Register for the IT Galaxy 2012 and we will meet on October 2nd in Utrecht!
Note: The PQR IT Galaxy is intended for attendees from The Netherlands and Belgium. All sessions are presented in Dutch.
