Last year I blogged briefly about a new IT comparison website called WhatMatrix.com.
The web site provides free and intuitive access to an increasing number of “always on-line” comparisons, enabling businesses to make IT purchase decisions, create solution proposals and perform technical product research. The platform also provides vendors with a groundbreaking way to increase brand visibility and articulate product value. The StackBuilder framework visually quantifies product benefits and even allows for the integration of products in solution stacks and custom reports.
Last months I’ve been working on one of the new comparisons for WhatMatrix.com called Disaster recovery for virtual infrastructures. Today this new comparison is officially available and ready to use!
This new comparison focuses on DR options for Microsoft- and VMware based virtualization platforms and includes DR solutions from vendors like Microsoft, Veeam, VMware and Zerto. These solutions provide automation and/or replication options to a second, fail-over site.
Included in this new comparison are details on licensing, hypervisor compatibility, replication- and orchestration options. For some of the solutions different editions are added to the comparison, enabling you to compare the different options a single vendor provides.
Read the full blog here for more details on this latest release! I hope this new comparison is helpful and can assist you when thinking about business continuity/disaster recovery matters.
This new comparison focuses on on-premises DR solutions, but there’s more to come! In an upcoming version Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS) solutions will also be added to the comparison.
That’s it for now…as always, you can leave your comments below.
