Last Friday we had our 10th (!) vBeers070! With about 15 vCommunity members being present at restaurant Milú in The Hague, it was again a very succesful vBeers070. Kudos to both VMware and Vancis for sponsoring food and drinks. For those who don’t know, vBeers is about having a beer (or anything else you would like to drink), chat about virtualization & cloud and…just socialize with your vCommunity peers. The original vBeers was initiated by Simon & Simon, read more about it here.
After 10 vBeers in The Hague (the not yet official capital of The Netherlands ?), it’s time to look back how this local edition of vBeers started. The first vBeers070 was organized back in November 2014 at the same spot we still have our virtualization chit-chat: restaurant Milú. vBeers The Hague is initiated and organized by Jeremy van Doorn (VMware), Danny Claproth (TrendMicro) and Viktor van den Berg (VMware). Most of the time restaurant Milú is our spot, but we’ve also organized a vBeers in San Francisco during VMworld (together with Paul Geerlings of ITQ); the vBeers summer edition of 2015 was located at Beachclub Wij in Scheveningen. For an overview of all previous vBeers070, see the included list:

Although vBeers is a PYOD (pay your own drinks) event, we’ve always found very generous sponsors that provided free drinks and event food to our visitors. First of all VMware and TrendMicro are always there for some sponsoring, but also VMware partners like Axians, ITQ, PQR and Vancis are willing to support us, thanks for that!
You’re of course always welcome for the upcoming edition of vBeers070. New editions will be posted on vbeers.org, vbeersthague.org and the blog you’re currently looking at: viktorious.nl. Stay tuned!
